Give with Confidence
As a member of the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB), Lancashire Mountaineering Club has made a public promise to adhere to best practice, honesty, transparency, clarity and accountability in all fundraising activity, enabling you to give with confidence.
We hope that our membership will build trust and confidence in giving to the club and, ultimately, encourage more people to provide vital support for our fundraising efforts.
Our Fundraising Promise to You:
Should you have any concerns about the way we fundraise, we have a robust complaints process. We encourage you to get in touch with your feedback. And, if you are unsatisfied with the way we handle your concerns, you can also contact the independent regulator, the FRSB.

The 200 Club has proved very popular in other clubs and groups and is now being offered to LMC members and their families and friends. It offers the chance to enter a monthly draw, with a guaranteed winner every month.
The member (or family/friend member) chooses to pay £5 per month by regular standing order payment and is allocated a number. They keep this number and their number is entered into each monthly draw, as long as the standing order remains valid.
Of course, more than one monthly 'chance' can be purchased, with a different number allocated for each £5 payment. So it's a great opportunity to buy 'chances' for each member of your family or buy several 'chances' for yourself... SOMEONE WINS EACH MONTH AND IT COULD BE YOU!
The draw also helps the Club with fundraising, with proceeds each month split between LMC Club fundraising, currently focused on the Beddgelert hut, and the winner. The winner receives a cheque for 30% of the month's proceeds and 70% is retained in Club funds.
Each monthly draw will take place with at least 1 LMC Committee member and 2 other LMC members present, at the monthly social meet or regular climbing meet, and the winner’s name and winning number will be displayed on the LMC website each month.

A valid will is the only guaranteed way for your wishes to be carried out and for your legacy to reach the Lancashire Mountaineering Club.
How to make a new will.
Making a will isn’t complicated and needn’t be expensive:
How to update an existing will
It's vital to review your will at intervals to ensure it still reflects your wishes and circumstances. For instance, if you move house or get married, or someone mentioned in your will dies, you may need to change it. Speak to your solicitor or bank about the simplest way to revise your will quickly and cost-effectively.
Suggested legacy wording to take to your solicitor: "I bequeath to the Lancashire Mountaineering Club ('The LMC') of The Glen, Sandy Lane, Cranage, Chesire, CW4 8HN, Registered Community Amateur Sports Club CASC 05376, the sum of £_______ (for a pecuniary bequest), or: the residue of my estate (for a residuary bequest) to be used by the LMC at its discretion."

Setting up your online sponsorship page
Fundraising pages are just like paper sponsorship forms, except they’re online, so you don’t have to traipse around collecting cash and cheques.
Simply personalise your page with a photo and message and email the web address to all your contacts. Friends, family, work colleagues and anyone else, from anywhere in the world, can then make a donation using your page.
Get started
It only takes about five minutes to set up a page - and you don't need any technical knowledge!
That's it! You will be given a web address at the end of the process that you can email around to all of your friends, family and colleagues.
Visit your page regularly to watch your total grow!
